You’re All Full of Shit
Nothing’s real anymore
People suck.
They go on their social media and they lecture their imaginary audience to stay home to slow the spread of COVID-19, “wear a damn mask,” now goggles, (next, a hazmat suit), and social distance. They attack anyone who dares push back, even simply posing questions in a search for answers, for hope.
They do all this with the viciousness of a cunt on a crusade to nail Jesus lovers to the cross.
Just look at Facebook and Twitter.
You can’t even suggest a little compassion for those who can’t abide by these government-issued edicts. For whatever reason.
Meanwhile, guess what?
They’re not even bothering to follow their own orders.
Look around at the real world. Go on IG and Snap. People are out and about, doing whatever the fuck they want, with whoever the fuck they want — the bigger the crowd, the better. BLM business as usual.
I know so many people who say one thing, but do quite another.
“If we haven’t gotten to the point where people are free enough to ask the question, ‘Why am I here?’ and then go seek out the answer to that question without being manipulated from every possible angle that they can be their entire lives, away from being able to find whatever the truth is to that, for them, then what is the point? That’s not free! That’s not free will, that’s not freedom of choice.” — Melissa Dykes, Truthstream Media
Calling you an “idiot,” “conspiracy theorist,” “Trumper,” etc. if you deny the science of wearing a mask, then, lo and behind, think nothing of receiving a delivery from a complete stranger without one on when you think no one’s looking.
Going on and on about how their family always practices the golden rule, while I’m staring at their kid’s Snapchat literally getting high with a bunch of his friends in someone’s bedroom, hanging out at the beach, or protesting in the streets of downtown Seattle, no mask, no social distancing.
Rules don’t apply, apparently.
Professional soccer’s a joke. Everyone’s masked up — until the game starts. Unbelievably, sweaty, huffy, hyperventilating players are still spitting on the turf, and then rolling around on that same turf, touching, interacting, like nothing happened. Sure they mostly kick the ball around, but there’s a lot more going on than that. I watched the MLS Is Back Tournament with amazement, and disgust. So much for COVID, right?
I can’t get one ounce of compassion, understanding, grace, because everyone’s out there stumping for their political side as the election gets closer, using a pandemic virus as an excuse to circle the cliques.
I find myself trying to communicate with walking ATM machines lacking basic human decency, appreciation for context and nuance, and the ability to have a normal conversation.
Nothing’s there. Just hashtags, phony, smug smiles, and the well-rehearsed lines of master hypocrites on a trending bender.
The media’s finally catching up to reality. A KIRO-FM reporter yesterday interviewed teens who flat-out said they weren’t following any social distancing, because they want to live their lives. Facts. A young woman admitted that her father has cancer, but didn’t sound all that worried about exposing him to potential COVID.
At least they’re honest.
Every day I listen to the news, which does nothing but focus on the worst-case scenario in excruciating detail. The recent “20/20” special was a complete hit piece on President Trump, with a sweeping soundtrack worthy of “Game of Thrones,” signaling viewers for the next emotional thrill ride.
Piano means sad face. Racing violins? Shit happens.
Overkill.
In case you get any ideas, buddy.
Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.
Ah, but she died, so fuck her.
